Join the Friends of the Hampton University Museum

 

The Museum's membership group, The Friends of the Hampton University Museum, is comprised of people devoted to the appreciation of art and the understanding of history, the Friends organization offers enhanced opportunities for cultural enrichment, education, entertainment, and involvement.

Memberships are available for as little as $25 per year (individual membership) and entitles one to a 10% discount in the Museum Shop, special member events and programs, group travel opportunities, and a subscription to the Museum's bi-annual newsletter, Talks and Thoughts. Our membership categories are named for Friends in the Arts that are artists or historic figures associated with the Hampton University Collection. Tours

The department also arranges tours and programs for adult groups, e.g., senior citizen center groups, church groups, family reunion groups, clubs and organizations, Elderhostel groups, and college and university-related groups. To arrange a tour, visitors must call in advance. Tours are usually one hour in length and may be tailored to meet specific group needs and interests. Possibilities include slide lectures, curators' discussions, or a walking tour of historic sites on campus. Off-site programs are also available on a limited basis.
